Everyday we should be conscious of our footprint, but especially on Earth Day. When I first learned the true impact the fast fashion industry has on our environment I was blown away. Let me list some facts for you to get a better understanding of what I'm talking about.

It takes up to 200 years for a garment to decompose
It takes 2,700 litres of water to make a singular t-shirt
The average American throws away somewhere around 80 pounds of clothing per year
Brands destroy billions of dollars worth of clothing every year in order to maintain brand exclusivity.
The fashion industry is the second most polluting industry in the world next to energy.
We're all guilty of over-consuming. By being aware of the impact our clothing usage has on the world is an important first step towards a more sustainable environment.
What are the next steps?
Buy less
Choose sustainable options
